Before you decide if I'm the right dentist for you, let me tell you a little secret about me.
I'm a lucky guy.
I grew up in Monterey Park and attended New Avenue School as a child. I developed lifelong friendships here—some friends I've known for over 20 years! It was also the beginning of a great education that led me to USC School of Dentistry.
And this was all possible because of my dad.
His life story is simple, yet very humbling.
He immigrated from Vietnam during the Vietnam War with nothing—not a penny to his name. Yet in a few short years, while learning English and dating my mom, he graduated at the top of his class from USC School of Dentistry.
His accomplishments gave me pride. They taught me the value of hard work.
With that, my two brothers and I followed in his footsteps—all becoming dentists (one brother is our resident orthodontist, while the other currently attends the nation's most competitive Orthodontics school).
Since graduating dental school, I began to work with my dad here in this small, unassuming office...only a few yards away from my elementary school.
Nothing in this office is extravagant except for the tools and materials we use. That was my dad's approach to life: don't show off, just do the best work possible.
So here's my promise to you.
I will treat you like family. I believe great dentistry begins with empathy. I understand what worries and fears you may have. And I will do my best to relieve them.
I won't treat you just as a patient. I will treat you like a human. I won't start any treatment without explaining in detail what you should know. Knowledge is power, and I want you to be empowered with your own health.
Like I said, I'm a lucky guy. And it's patients like you who give me and my family the privileged life we've had.
So thank you.
I look forward with meeting you! :)
